President

Steve Selfridge is President of Day & Zimmermann Government Services, including SOC.

Day & Zimmermann’s Government Services Group and SOC is an integrated provider of mission support solutions to the U.S. Government and commercial clients. Whether the workforce is designing facilities, or operating and maintaining safe locations and assets, the Group’s combined services support the national security mission in the U.S. and abroad. SOC stands as a trusted and strategic partner to customers including, the U.S. Departments of State, Energy, Defense, and Intelligence Community, and additional federal agencies, providing and helping create safe and secure environments in which they can perform their best work. SOC continues to expand its global presence under his leadership while living out its values of safety, integrity, diversity, and success.

Mr. Selfridge is known for building and leading high-performance multinational teams and uniting parties on a common mission and goals. As a dynamic international executive with a 40-year history of establishing and growing multi-million dollar businesses, he has demonstrated success in increasing profits and market share, having worked across six continents in highly competitive global industries.

His career includes his role as Vice President of Corporate Development at Day & Zimmermann, a family-owned company whose 42,000 employees specialize in construction & engineering, staffing and defense solutions for leading corporations and governments around the world. In this role, he was responsible for Strategy and Merger and Acquisitions. Operating from more than 150 worldwide locations with 2.4 Billion USD in revenue, Day & Zimmermann consistently ranks as one of the largest private companies in the U.S. by Forbes.

Starting his career as a CPA at KPMG, he then moved on to provide Chief Financial Officer leadership to an architectural and engineering (A/E) firm which was sold to Tetra Tech (TTEK). As the former Chief Operating Officer of retail security provider Checkpoint Systems, Inc, Mr. Selfridge helped to grow the company from $35 Million to $360 Million through a number of public financings and acquisitions. Under his leadership as Chief Executive Officer of Acsis Inc, a logistics software company, he led the company’s more than 500 percent growth.

As an established leader with operations supporting national security interests in high-threat environments, he is a member of the International Stability Operations Association (ISOA), the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA), and the Executive Mosaic Leadership Program in the Greater Washington Metropolitan area. He was featured in South Jersey Magazine as one of the leading Outstanding Entrepreneurs of the Year (2015) and was the former Chair of the Foundation Board of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. Mr. Selfridge received his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Rutgers University in Camden, New Jersey, where he serves on the Leadership Council of Rutgers School of Business.

Meet Mike McGovern

Vice President, Business Development

Mike McGovern currently serves as Vice President of Business Development for Government Services, including SOC.

In this role, he leads efforts to grow D&Z’s mission support work in the federal civilian and defense sectors, including its portfolio of architecture, engineering, security, staffing and operations and maintenance service offerings.

Mike has more than three decades of industry experience in the business development, marketing, sales, account management, strategic and operational areas.

Before joining Day & Zimmermann, Mike’s held BD leadership positions at SAIC, ProcureNet, and Curtiss-Wright. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and an MBA in marketing from Rutgers University.

Vice President & Group Controller, Government Services

Jeff Miller currently serves as Vice President and Group Controller for Day & Zimmermann Government Services, including SOC.

The group brings more than a century of successful Operations & Maintenance (O&M) solutions experience to our customers here at home and around the world. With robust capabilities in the areas of Facility and Installation Operations and Maintenance; Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO); Management of Arms, Ammunition and Explosives (AA&E), Demilitarization Operations; and Training and Logistics, the group custom designs its solutions to address each project's unique needs, including those in high-risk and secure environments. Whether it’s operating, maintaining and repairing an existing facility, or modifying and maintaining a Government aircraft, the group tailors its solutions to meet individual customer needs.

As a results-driven leader, Mr. Miller brings a substantial and broad range of operational, financial, business management, and leadership experience to the company. Prior to his current role, he held a number of key strategy and investment banking leadership positions with a focus on capital markets, strategic planning, and mergers and acquisitions. He advised on a number of high profile transactions in the industry, one of which was recognized by Washington Technology as a Big Impact Deal of the year. His experience also includes management of the operation and maintenance of the world’s largest ammunition storage depot.

Throughout his career, Mr. Miller has supported programs with the United States Departments of Defense, State, Energy, Homeland Security as well as other mission critical federal agencies in a broad range of service offerings both domestically and internationally.

Mr. Miller earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in both Finance and Accounting from Georgetown University. He remains engaged with the University as an Interviewer for Georgetown’s Undergraduate Admissions Program. He was also a licensed General Securities Representative (Series 7 and 63). He is a member of the company’s Innovation Council and has served as Chairman of the company’s Nevada Pension Plan Board of Trustees.

Meet Susan E. Major

Vice President, Human Resources

As the principal human resources executive at SOC, Susan leads and directs all strategic human resources programs. She is an influential leader spearheading a full range of SOC’s talent management strategies and initiatives, leadership development, employee engagement, change management, and M&A activities.

As a critical strategic partner to the organization, Susan brings more than 20 years of experience driving human capital strategies, leading human resources teams, and instituting competitive value-added best practices across the range of human resources functions for government contractors including: CSRA (formerly SRA International); TASC (formerly Northrop Grumman/TASC), General Dynamics, Logistics Management Institute (LMI) and Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).

Susan holds a Master's degree in Human Resources from Virginia Polytechnic and a Bachelor's degree in Creative Art/Psychology from Wilson College. Susan is Myers-Briggs Type Indicator certified, PDI 360 PROFILOR certified and also holds certifications in Workforce Planning, Change Management and Labor Relations.

Meet Meagan Prior

Vice President, Federal Services

Meagan Prior currently serves as Vice President of Federal Services. In this role, she leads Cleared Staffing and Federal Workforce Solutions in support of the U.S. National Security Mission. Meagan is a seasoned government contracts, sales, and delivery executive with deep experience domestically and abroad.

As a trusted industry partner, Meagan has served the United States Government, solving some of the toughest workforce, technology, and professional services challenges for more than 20 years. She is known for her unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Throughout Meagan’s career, she has supported all 15 cabinet agencies, the Intelligence Community (IC), NASA, and the World Bank. Prior to joining SOC, Meagan spent more than ten years at Monster Government Solutions, a leading Cloud Service Provider of innovative human capital management technology solutions and professional services to federal and state customers. Previous to MGS, Meagan served the DOD and the IC at Accenture National Security Services.

Meagan received her MBA in information security at James Madison University, Master of Disaster Science at the University of Richmond, Bachelor of Arts in International Studies at Trinity University Washington, D.C., and is a NSTSSI-certified information security professional. She is an active member of ACT-IAC, Northern Virginia Technology Council, and proud supporter of women in technology and defense.

General Counsel, Government Services

In this role, David is the divisional legal advisor, providing advice on contracts, compliance, and risk management for Government Services, with our contract managers and compliance professionals reporting to him.  

Before joining Day & Zimmermann, David was a member of the Squire Patton Boggs International Dispute Resolution Practice. David represented and advised governmental entities on a broad range of issues, including multifaceted matters requiring analysis of the international law of treaties, diplomatic immunity, and state responsibility.

David also served as a Judge Advocate in the United States Army. During his military service, he gained valuable experience in the areas of operational law, administrative law, and ethics. While deployed to Afghanistan, David served as an Operational Law Attorney and as the Rule of Law adviser for the Afghan National Police’s 202nd Zone, providing counsel in the areas of human rights, criminal prosecution, and counter-narcotics.

David received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University, his Juris Doctorate from Washington and Lee University, and holds a Master’s in Education from George Mason University. Prior to his career in law, David taught high school and 6th grade mathematics in Washington D.C., serving his first two years as a Teach for America corps member.

Meet Michael Jenkins

SVP, Integrated Security

As an integral leader on SOC’s executive team, Mr. Jenkins serves as Senior Vice President, Integrated Security, overseeing Cyber Operations, Cleared Staffing, Critical Infrastructure Programs, and Technical and International Security programs. At SOC, Mr. Jenkins leads with a solid track record of success, with three decades of experience in directing technically-varied missions for multiple U.S. Government agencies.

In his career at SOC, he has been instrumental in driving results and supporting the mission by leading the workforce in a variety of positions, including  Vice President of International Programs, as well as Senior Director of Operations. Prior to joining SOC, Mr. Jenkins served more than ten years abroad, supporting complex U.S. Government programs in the Middle East, South Asia, and Europe. He is known for his broad range of expertise, which includes his service with the Central South Texas Narcotics and Special Crimes Task Force as the Senior Agent in Charge. Throughout his career, Mr. Jenkins has continuously supported mission-critical programs with the United States Departments of Defense, State, Energy, Homeland Security, as well as other Government agencies in wide-ranging service offerings.

Mr. Jenkins received his Associate of Applied Science Degree in Information Security Management from Central Texas College and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Security from American Public University.

As a transformational leader at SOC, Mr. Jenkins continues to drive results, helping grow and diversify the company’s Government Services portfolio.

Meet Dan Cronin

Vice President, Integrated Security

Dan currently serves as Vice President of International Programs. In this role, he manages our overseas contracts and operations. Dan comes to SOC with more than 23 years of security and law enforcement expertise as a former Department of State (DoS) Bureau of Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) senior leader.

As the senior security officer for several U.S. Embassies and Consulates abroad, Dan supported missions in Greece, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Pakistan, and Uganda. Dan also served domestically including his most recent assignment as Deputy Assistant Director of High Threat Programs where he oversaw the security operations in the State Department’s Highest Threat/Highest Risk locations. With experience in program management, construction design review and implementation, and global operational excellence—Dan is an effective communicator and leader of diverse and multi-disciplined teams.

Dan spent his career protecting personnel, facilities, and information and has actively worked on tactical, operational, and policy associated issues in the pursuit of the overall mission. Dan developed successful training programs designed to prepare people for high threat environments and global risk management. Dan is adaptable as shown through a career learning new countries, diplomatic issues, and navigating international relations. Dan received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland.
