SOC participated in the 8th Annual 9/11 Memorial Mt. Grant Challenge in Hawthorne, Nevada to honor all of the heroes who gave their lives during the September 11th tragedy. The 17-mile hike, a non-profit event with proceeds supporting the Hawthorne Veteran's Memorial Park, is designed to give the participants the chance to take in some of Nevada's most beautiful scenery while honoring the victims, survivors, and heroes of September 11th. Hawthorne, Nevada's memorial activities over the weekend included the annual Friday Flag Raising Ceremony, entertainment, and food.
