Message from SOC President on Human Trafficking Awareness

January was National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month. Our business partner, the DoD, defines human trafficking as “a crime in which force, fraud or coercion is used to compel a person to perform labor, services, or commercial sex. It affects all populations: adults, children, men, women, foreign nationals, and U.S. citizens, and all economic classes.” This month and every month, Government Services joins the fight to end modern-day slavery.

SOC Donates 150 Christmas Gifts in 7th Annual Toys for Tots Drive

SOC participated in their 7th annual Marine Corps Toys for Tots Drive, which provides Christmas gifts for less fortunate children throughout Fairfax and Loudon Counties. This year’s fundraiser, which began in mid-November, aided in the non-profit foundation’s overall mission and goal to collect new, unwrapped toys for America’s most disadvantaged children, sending a message of hope during the holiday season. The final toy collection was part of SOC’s Annual Employee Appreciation Awards Ceremony on Dec. 14.
