SOC Sponsors 2014 Seventh Annual Paralyzed Veterans Golf Open
Providing Career and Employment Assistance for Disabled Veterans
CHANTILLY, VA, June 11, 2014 – SOC LLC, a leading provider of mission support services around the world, sponsored the seventh annual Paralyzed Veterans Golf Open yesterday at the Trump National Golf Club in Washington, D.C. This year’s event, in support of the Paralyzed Veterans of America’s Operation PAVE (Paving Access for Veterans Employment), raised more than $400,000. The proceeds will help establish new PAVE vocational rehabilitation centers and build employment support services that are provided free to all veterans throughout the United States.
“As part of our long-term commitment to our U.S. Military Veterans and their families, we are proud to assist Paralyzed Veterans of America as they work to fight unemployment for veterans with disabilities,” said Derek Johnson, Senior Vice President, SOC LLC. “The great mission of PAVE will continue to help service members for years to come as they transition back to their communities here at home. Yesterday’s tremendous support for PAVE from business leaders, government agencies, veterans and the armed services will no doubt continue to grow as leaders recognize the life-changing impact of these programs,” Johnson added.
