Former CIA Worldwide Security Protective Operations Lead Joins SOC

Shawn Roslin, former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Worldwide Security Protective Operations lead joins SOC, A Day & Zimmermann Company, as Vice President, Domestic Programs and Operations Support. At SOC, he will report to Mike Jenkins, Senior Vice President, Integrated Security.

With 30 years of government service, specializing in large programmatic integration related to U.S. National Security Mission, his transformational leadership experience includes a variety of disciplines: protective operations, risk mitigation, threat management, risk analysis, anti-terrorist force protection, and investigations.

Shawn Roslin Welcome to the the Team LinkedIn Post (1)Roslin comes to SOC from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) as a Senior Intelligence Officer, where he most recently led the Agency’s worldwide security protective operations group, comprised of more than a thousand Staff and Contract Officers. In this lead role, he was responsible for all operational and programmatic aspects of the Agency’s worldwide protective programs focused on armed protection, risk mitigation, and recommendations for Agency personnel and facilities, often in high-risk environments. Managing all level Protective Staff, Worldwide Response Staff, Resource Staff, and the Security Protective Service, he brings expertise to a wide range of protective and security support to the DCIA, DDCIA, DNI, PDDNI, and other Agency and Intelligence Community personnel.

In his career, he served overseas as Chief, Security, a program leader and expert-level Security Officer, in multiple locations and stations including: Near East and South-Central Asia Mission Center 2020 to 2022; Southeast Asia Location (OCONUS) 2016 to 2020; Near East Locations (Warzones) 2011 to 2015; Technology Integration Division at the ODNI 2008-2011, Africa Division and Europe Locations (OCONUS) 2004 to 2008. In these assignments, he was responsible for providing all aspects of operational security to the mission centers, many located in challenging and dynamic environments to include war zones and expeditionary sites rated as CRITICAL or HIGH for acts of terrorism and/or political violence. As Chief Security for the Near East and South-Central Asia Mission Center, he led the strategic planning and implementation of a vision that drove the successful drawdown and evacuation of a War Zone in South Central Asia in 2021. As well as chairing and serving as the Executor on several Senior Leadership boards such as the Technology Research Steering Committee and the High Threat Activity Council, directly impacting Agency policy and operations.

Roslin is a U.S. Military Veteran, having served in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) from 1990 – 1998. Immediately following his service in the Marines, Shawn became a Special Agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Drug Task Force followed by joining the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) from 2001- 2003.
