SOC Attending “Hiring our Heroes” Hampton Roads Transition Summit and Hiring Fair

Chantilly, Virginia (June 8, 2016) – SOC LLC, a Day & Zimmermann (D&Z) company, will be attending the “Hiring our Heroes” Hampton Roads Transition Summit on June 9, 2016 at the at Chesapeake Conference Center, 700, Conference Center Drive, Chesapeake, VA, 23320. The Summit will focus on improving competitive employment of service members and Veterans, in addition to networking opportunities for all involved. The first day’s activities, focusing on providing a better hiring environment for Veterans in the workforce and transitioning military, will be followed by a job fair on Thursday, June 9.

This Summit features participation from companies like SOC and speakers from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Labor, Small Business Administration, Department of Defense’s Transition to Veterans Program Office, U.S. Navy and Fleet and Family Support Center, and local chambers of commerce. Activities at the Summit will include roundtable discussions, seminars, and employer trainings, open to all interested military, federal and state agencies, businesses and employers looking to hire veterans, and other community leaders. On day two, June 9, the Summit will open to transitioning service members, military spouses, members of the Guard and Reserve and Veterans from the community in search of career opportunities.
