(Chantilly, VA) November 7, 2014 - SOC LLC, a leading provider of integrated security, critical infrastructure solutions and mission support services around the world, completed its 2014 United Way campaign as part of a national initiative alongside Day & Zimmerman. SOC held a number of employee events in October to raise awareness and contribute to this year’s $133,000 donation to United Way. The local proceeds collected from events at SOC headquarters in Chantilly, Virginia have been donated through United Way to USO-Metro of Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. In addition, SOC donated $10,000 to United Way of Northern New Mexico and has supported the United Way for 15 consecutive years, with more than $180,000 in contributions.
As a national United Way Campaign involving ten offices across the U.S., the groups raised record-breaking funds in support of United States veterans, education, basic needs, and health. The goal of the campaign is to increase awareness and give back to our local communities. "Not only do we make it a priority to hire veterans, our partnership with United Way and USO is a tremendous opportunity to give back to our communities and our armed forces who have proudly served our country,” said Derek Johnson, company spokesperson, SOC. “Our donations serve as a thank you to our troops, as we are forever proud of the sacrifice they have made in protecting our liberties,” he added.
